Session Description
The 21st Century has brought innovations that require therapists to consider confidentiality, record
keeping and boundary controversies. This workshop will address personal versus professional website
issues, reputation protection (Yelp), cybertherapy, and updates on proper internet record keeping.
Literature updates, expert opinion, and relevant ethics codes will be discussed.

Learning Objectives
Identify at least two ethical issues related to cybertherapy.
Identify at least two ways to practice “reputation protection.”
Identify at least two ethical issues related to SKYPE and FaceTime.
