Two-addiction treatment experts examine the best strategies for supporting one of the most difficult demographics in recovery work.

This two-part intensive will explore key factors to achieve successful intervention, detox, PHP / IOP, and long-term psychotherapy when working with upper-level professionals. Common reasons for failure at each level of care will be discussed and the best approaches for successful outcomes will be proposed. Especially targeting attorneys, physicians and other professionals with high-stress, high-accountability positions.

 

Course Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to identify the most common addictions in the professional population and why so many professionals avoid or struggle in treatment.

Upon completion, participants will be able to specify how traits that make professionals successful in their careers work against them in recovery treatment.

Upon completion, participants will be able to identify the unique factors and stigma upper-level professionals face when trying to obtain sobriety and post-treatment return to work.
