Link Between Trauma, Depression and Borderline Personality Disorder (1.5 Clinical CE) - Higher Thought Institute
In this workshop, Dr. Ross will describe the principles of his Trauma Model Therapy (TMT) including the problem of attachment to the perpetrator; the locus of control shift; the problem is not the problem; just say ‘no’ to drugs; addiction is the opposite of desensitization and the victim-rescuer-perpetrator triangle. Using these principles he will explain the links between trauma, depression and borderline personality disorder and treatment strategies and techniques for these inter-linked problems.

Objectives – Participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the role of trauma in depression and borderline personality disorder.
  2. Describe the role of attachment conflicts and self-blame in depression and borderline personality disorder.
  3. Describe treatment strategies for trauma, depression and borderline personality disorder within Trauma Model Therapy.
