Harville Hendrix, Ph.D.
Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. was a couple’s therapist with more than 40 years’ experience as an educator, clinical trainer and lecturer whose work has appeared on Oprah 17 times. Harville and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D. are partners in life and work. They believe that how we interact with each other, in all contexts – family, workplace, schools etc. – is the key to our emotional, physical and economic well-being and to the well-being of our children and society. Together, they are committed to the transformation of relationships and to the evolution of a relational culture.
They are the co-creators of Imago Relationship Theory & Therapy, which has spread globally through Imago Relationships International, and now renamed Imago Relationships Worldwide, an organization that has trained over 2,500 therapists in over 53 countries. They are also co-creators, with other relational therapists, scientists, and business professionals, of Relationships First® a non-profit organization that contributes to the creation of a relational culture through the distribution of new insights from the relational sciences, and through Safe Conversations® – a city-wide experiment in Dallas, Texas.
Harville and Helen continue to work with Imago and make it available in workshops, training programs, lectures, seminars and books. They are the authors of three New York Times best sellers (Getting The Love You Want; Keeping The Love You Find; and Giving The Love That Heals), Making Marriage Simple, and six other books. Their The Space Between was released in 2017. Their latest release updated and revised anniversary edition of Getting the Love You Want, which was released in January 2019. They are working on a new professional text on Imago theory and therapy.

Pamela Harmell, Ph.D.
Dr. Pamela Harmell, Ph. D. is a national lecturer specializing in legal and ethical issues in clinical practice. She is a Clinical Professor at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology and has written extensively in professional publications on ethical practice and has formally studied law. She is the Past President of the Board of Psychology. Dr. Harmell is former Chair of the California State Ethics Committee and former Chair of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association Ethics Committee. She served on the Board of Directors of the California Psychological Association and is Past President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association.
John Arden, Ph.D., ABPP
John Arden, PhD, ABPP is the author of 15 books including, Brain2Brain, The Brain Bible, Rewire Your Brain, and Brain-Based Therapy with Adults. His new book is entitled Mind-Brain-Gene: Toward the Integration of Psychotherapy. He recently retired from Kaiser Permanente where he served as the Northern California Regional Director of Training where he developed one of the largest mental health training programs in the United States. In this capacity he oversaw more than 150 interns and postdoctoral psychology residents in 24 medical centers. He has presented in all US States and 28 countries.
Ronald D. Siegel, PsyD
Dr. Ronald D. Siegel is an Assistant Professor of Psychology, part time, at Harvard Medical School, where he has taught for over 35 years. He is a long time student of mindfulness meditation and serves on the Board of Directors and faculty of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy. He teaches internationally about the application of mindfulness practice in psychotherapy and other fields, and maintains a private clinical practice in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
Dr. Siegel is coeditor of the critically acclaimed text, Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, 2nd Edition; author of a comprehensive guide for general audiences, The Mindfulness Solution: Everyday Practices for Everyday Problems; coeditor of Wisdom and Compassion in Psychotherapy; coauthor of the professional guide Sitting Together: Essential Skills for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy; coauthor of the self-treatment guide Back Sense, which integrates Western and Eastern approaches for treating chronic back pain; and professor for The Science of Mindfulness: A Research-Based Path to Well-Being produced by The Great Courses. He is also a regular contributor to other professional publications, and is co-director of the annual Harvard Medical School Conference on Meditation and Psychotherapy.
John Briere, Ph.D.
John Briere, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He has spent decades treating and researching the effects of extended childhood maltreatment, sexual and physical assaults, torture, and severe burns. A past president of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, Dr., Briere is recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Science of Trauma Psychology from the American Psychological Association and the William N. Friedrich Lecturer: Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Child Psychology from the Mayo Clinic. He is author or co-author of over 140 articles and chapters, 15 books, and 9 trauma-related psychological tests, and has been Remote Faculty at the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy since 2013. Colin A. Ross, M.D.
Colin A. Ross, M.D. completed medical school at the University of Alberta and his psychiatry training at the University of Manitoba in Canada. He is a Past President of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and is the author of over 225 papers and 32 books. He has spoken widely throughout North America and Europe, and in China, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. He has been a keynote speaker at many different conferences, and has reviewed for over 30 different professional journals.
Dr. Ross is the Director of hospital-based Trauma Programs in Denton, Texas, Torrance, California and Grand Rapids, Michigan. He provides cognitive therapy groups at all three locations, in person in Texas and by video-conference in Michigan and California. He has been running a hospital Trauma Program in the Dallas area since moving to Texas in 1991.
Dr. Ross’ books cover a wide range of topics. His clinical books focus on trauma and dissociation and include: Dissociative Identity Disorder. Diagnosis, Clinical Features and Treatment of Multiple Personality, Second Edition (1997); Schizophrenia: Innovations in Diagnosis and Treatment (2004); The Trauma Model: A Solution to the Problem of Comorbidity in Psychiatry (2007); Trauma Model Therapy: A Treatment Approach for Trauma Dissociation and Complex Comorbidity (2009); Structural Dissociation: A Proposed Modification of the Theory (2013); and Treatment of Dissociative Identity Disorder: Techniques and Strategies for Stabilization (2018).
Dr. Ross has published a series of treatment outcome studies in peer-reviewed journals, which provide evidence for the effectiveness of Trauma Model Therapy. Many of his papers involve large series of cases, with original research data and statistical analyses, including a paper entitled ‘Trauma and Dissociation in China” in the American Journal of Psychiatry.
Besides his clinical psychiatry interests, Dr. Ross has published papers and books on cancer and human energy fields, as well as literary works including essays, fiction, poetry and screenplays. He has several different hobbies including travel.
