Legal & Ethical Considerations: Multi-Client Situations - Higher Thought Institute
How do you feel during a session with a client? How do you feel when you think of seeing that person? Why does a specific client elicit feelings when other clients do not? Three types of counter transference will be reviewed along with when and how to self-disclose, and how to practice self-care. Current literature, expert opinion and ethical guidelines will be discussed throughout.

  2. Participants will be able to recognize and become aware of the three types of therapist self disclosure and how each is used in therapy sessions and how clients view therapist self-disclosure by their therapists.
  3. Participants will recognize the importance of, and properly utilize self-care techniques with regard to being a psychotherapist and to name three types of self-care techniques.
